TULiPPS Solar B.V. has developed a unique, lightweight solar photovoltaic (PV) module technology called the COSMOS™ system that harnesses the benefits of tough, long-lasting automotive-grade composites with the design flexibility and manufacturing efficiency of plastics to solve challenges common to conventional roof-mounted PV modules with separate aluminum frames. Here’s what we did to make solar PV module technology more efficient and less costly:

Durable COSMOS™ modules can be produced quickly and consistently at a lower systems cost than conventional modules with separate aluminum frames. Additionally, the proven roof anchor system plus Plug-‘n-Play functionality of the lightweight composite underbody allows modules to be installed faster, with less effort, and less skilled labor. Since modules can be placed closer together, more energy can be generated per square area of roof surface. Hence, COSMOS™ modules help drive systems cost and cost of ownership for PV modules down. In large arrays, such a savings represents a sizeable reduction in the cost of investment, leading to quicker payback and happier investors plus greater generation and utilization of green, renewable energy.
